The Web Project life cycle
When you come to us with your web project, it goes through the Web Project life cycle, it is designed so that you are kept informed as to it's progress every step of the way.
1 - Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is for us to get to know a little about your company, this is where we get to speak to your designated project coordinator to discuss any special requirements.2 - Project Specification
The project specification lets us find out in detail all of your requirements and the targets to be set of the project itself. This is agreed between us and your project coordinator, and will serve as the binding development specification for the rest of the cycle.3 - Site Architecture
At this stage we create a site map to help visualise the architecture of the site.4 - Site Cycle Design
This is where we propose a home page, and if applicable, second level and possibly third level designs for agreement. These designs will define the over-all feel of the end product. At this phase it cycles between us and you until the required design has been agreed.5 - Content Collation
This is run in conjunction with the next stage, your designated project co-ordinator will collate the content required on the site to help towards the end of the Project Development Cycle.6 - Project Development
Once an agreement has been made on the site architecture and design, we will go ahead with the Project Specification Requirements document. This is where most of the Project time is taken up. Near the end of this cycle, your project co-ordinator will provide us with the site content, this will be then placed on the site where applicable.7 - Testing & Quality Assurance
At this stage, the site has been designed and developed in accordance to the Project Specifications Requirements document, the project will be tested for any errors, and if any are found, the project will be re-tested until all errors have been ironed out.8 - Site Launch
As soon as your site has been designed, developed and tested, we will upload the site onto a live server, your site will then be available to the public, or if you have requested intranet design, will be installed on your servers for internal use.Any Questions?
